What is a Profile?

A profile defines what a user is allowed to access in VISULOX.

Profiles determine:

  • which applications are visible after login

  • what permissions the user has

  • whether the user has administrative privileges

  • how authentication is handled (e.g., local, LDAP, Active Directory, etc.)

Users are assigned to profiles.
Access is granted through profiles — not directly to individual users.

This approach enables centralized and scalable access management.

Profiles Page Overview

The profiles page displays all configured user profiles.

Each entry includes key information such as:

  • Profile name

  • Description

  • Login name

  • Email address

  • Role indicators (e.g., Admin, Default)

From this page, administrators can:

  • Create new profiles

  • Review profile details

  • Modify profile settings

  • Delete profiles

  • Search and filter entries

  • Navigate using pagination

Role indicators such as Admin or Default help quickly identify special access levels.
