Single node setup with single perimeter network
A single node setup is mostly used for POC or setups for less than 25 concurrent users. A redundancy can be guaranteed with the virtualization infrastructure. The node will have three components: VISULOX GATEWAY for pure HTTPS communication with the users, the VISULOX PORTAL Service for application deployment and the VISULOX Service to control the users. |
Setup with layered perimeter network
In this case the communication has to pass several security zones. It is still limited to 25 users. |
Scaling setup with single perimeter network
This setup allows to have a first approach in scaling: 25+25+25. The disadvantage is, that the VISULOX GATEWAY load balancing facility is used. User access with DNS and single IP is driven through one VISULOX GATEWAY. This is not a problem, because the sessions through the VISULOX GATEWAY has If one node goes down, the user can access using an alternate DNS name. Using DNS with multiple IP addresses allows additional distributes of the request, but mostly the DNS server does not take care of the availability of a service behind an IP address. This drawing repesents the setup with two nodes. It is possible to have up to 10 nodes. |
Scaling setup with layered perimeter network
Conception is the same as in "Scaling setup with single perimeter network" but in different zones. |
Geo redundant setup with layered perimeter network
A geo redundant setup needs complex planing. |
Setup with VISULOX Revision Server
VISULOX Revision Server is an additional node. |
